Is it just me or have you noticed that there is a shift going on in our country in regards to our support for President Barak Obama and his policies? I guess I knew it was bound to happen. No President can maintain unrealistic support in the face of overwhelming social problem(s) while attempting to put forth constitution changing programs that threaten the freedoms we all cherish.
I have noticed, and am wondering if you have also, that there are fewer bumper stickers on the cars around me in traffic with “Obama” stickers on their bumpers or back windows. My take on this is that there is truly disillusionment with the administration and its policies. It’s like a tidal wave.
Where have all the “Obama” bumper stickers gone? Let me make the following observations on the missing stickers:
- Scraped off in disgust by those who thought Obama was on their team.
- Scraped off because you are tired of your fellow citizens staring at you with that ominous look on their faces, (you know it can only be the bumper sticker).
- Your tired of other cars cutting you off and slamming their brakes in front of you to make a point.
- You have seen the light and want to continue on with the ‘true’ American dream with all of its inherent flaws that need fixing.
- You want to become part of the solution so you removed it; peacefully.
- Perhaps you are in fear for your safety.
- You want to make true change and know it starts with you.
Unfortunately many if not most of our citizens are blinded to the true issues that are going on in this country. Perhaps ambivalent or just plain too busy trying to survive the daily struggles of life in an economic abyss we don’t have time and leave our most important decisions regarding our freedom to “the other guy”.
The time has come for a wake up call. Yes, the alarm clock is going off now and it’s time for YOU to get more involved become more observant of this encroachment on our basic rights and liberties.
What can you do?
- Make sure the sticker is scraped off of your car. (If you are a die hard liberal get a conservative or independent minded friend to do it for you)
- If you are so inclined get a OBUMMER sticker for you bumper or back window, (be sure to remove any other stickers so as not to dilute your message)
- Share your message of how this situation affects you, your family, your friends.
- Attend local and national events that support the U.S. Constitution and the freedoms we enjoy.
- Become versed in the mood and feelings of those around you, discuss intelligently the need for prudence in the face of overwhelming national debt.
- Write your congressional representatives.
- Share your story, here and everywhere.
It is becoming obvious that the situation that confronts us is becoming more desperate every day yet if we put our minds to this there is a peaceful solution awaiting all of us of like mind. Contemplate a peaceful future where these issues are resolved, but don’t give up the fight, be persistent.
