I think it’s becoming all the more obvious that the dog called the “Health Care Bill H.R. 3962″ will not hunt until it is restructured and suitable for everyone. House resolution 615 is exactly what is needed to bring to light the true issues we face with this bill. First all members of Congress and all Senators MUST be enrolled in the public option for this to fly.
Congressman John Fleming has proposed just this. Representing Louisiana’s 4th District Congressman Fleming has received over 2 million contacts supporting this amendment. Additionally Congressman Fleming is uniquely in a position to give credible account as he is a practicing Doctor.
The truth is this bill STILL is lacking in what America needs at this point in time; an exit strategy on spending. I say we continue to request through our representational government that this bill be picked over in detail to insure it represents exactly what this country needs. We can’t afford to continue to make large scale spending mistakes. Let’s grab the reins and slow this pony express down and correct our current issues.

- Over the past few months, members of Congress and the American people have come to know the details of the Administration’s proposed health care plan. Call it whatever you like, I believe this proposal is nothing more than government-run health care. As a physician, I am amazed at the number of bureaucrats in this House who are quick to claim a government-run health care plan is the reform this country needs. In response to this, I have offered a resolution that will offer members of Congress an opportunity to put their money where their mouth is, and urge their colleagues who vote for legislation creating a government-run health care plan to lead by example and enroll themselves in the same public plan.
Under the current draft of the Democrat healthcare legislation, members of Congress are curiously exempt from the government-run health care option, keeping their existing health plans and services on Capitol Hill.
